getting close to the end!!
So finally after two atempts I finished the sashings. The first time I had them all cut at 2.5 inches, but once it was all sewin together it just looked way to spaced out, so unpicked and trimed them all down and this is what it came out like.
Kinda bummed about how lil the "romantic" fabric is standing out against the white compared to all the other words. Hopefully once its quilted it will stand out abit more.

Day 78
So today I sorted out my craft room, and finished the last letter of the last word 'Romantic'. I know its not a great photo & its only day 78, the 100 days isnt over yet but I need the rest of the time to get the sashings and boarders done and then it quilted and the binding on.
The words on the quilt are
excited
crazy
frustrated
party
joy
fun
sing
love
joke
ridiculous
quirky
serious
laugh
cry
romantic
get back to you once all the sashings done!!!

Everything up to day 69
K, so I admit that since day 39ish Ive been abit arrrghh about this project, it just didnt look like it was comeing together like the picture in my head, so I just plodded along letter by letter. But I took the chance today while my wonderfull hubby was at the park with the boys to finish off the letters for "ridiculous" and sew the huge pile of muddeld up letters together. And well Im actually really happy with how it is looking now that theres more of it and I can get a picture of what it is actually going to look like.
Now just going to do one maybe two more words before I do all the sashing and boarders, and finally quilt it, and I am totally excited about this again.
Sorry the photos arnt the best, had a couple of kids climbing up my legs to compliment my photography skills!!!

So I also have the words carefree and funny ready to be sewing but have run out of cotton so they’ll have to wait till I can get some more tomorrow!!
Also I’m running low on ideas for words, so any suggestions that can fit into this sentence
I’m in a ………… mood

Days 1 to 4 & first word down
So the first 4 days of our 100 days are down, and inspired by beginners enthusiasm the first word is complete. Will piece it together when I get my sewing machine out to start this weekends word Crazy!!!
I'm not to sure what exactly is inspiring the words and letters that I'm making, and am getting more and more excited to see what this is going to turn out like as I am following no plan or pattern but just going with the flow and hoping for the best.

The great 100 days.....
So I heard about this 100 day project that’s happening, where you have to repeat some design operation over and over in some form every single day for 100 days. This sounds interesting I thought, could be fun, so I rung a friend to talk it over and try come up with some idea. Thinking of something creative I could, would want and be able to repeat every day for 100 days was the tricky part. I love painting I thought, but with 2 small children finding time to get paints out every day would be a lil tricky. My friend suggested a quilt, makes sense I love making quilts. But as all my quilts so far have been made from 6-10inch blocks and are basically made in a weekend i was thinking that maybe that’s not such the go. While vacuuming later that day though I remembered an awesome letter/word quilt that I’d seen awhile back, and I thought I could easily do a small block consisting of a different letter each day.
So here goes my plan from the 1st of March for 100 days I’m going to make up a quilt block ranging from 3-9 inches and each consisting of a single letter or maybe a word if I’ve got a bit of extra time. And at the end of the 100 days ill piece it all together into some kind of word search, cross word looking quilt.
So keep watching this space for updates and pictures of my progress……..
